Registration for the Spring 2024 Indiana Master Naturalist program is now FULL. Please email Polly Sturgeon (proot@iu.edu) to be placed on a waiting list for future classes.
Classes will be offered on Tuesday evenings from 6:00-9:00 pm, March 19 through May 21, plus a field trip on Saturday, April 27. The current schedule is (dates and topics subject to change):
- March 19- Natural Resources
- March 26- Rocks and Fossils
- April 2- Glacial History
- April 9- Soils
- April 26- Water Quality
- April 23- Trees
- April 27- Field trip: Trees and Water Quality
- April 30- Native Plants
- May 7- Birds
- May 14- Animal Skeletons
- May 21- Mushrooms and final exam
Participants must attend at least 8 of the 11 class sessions, complete weekly exams, and accumulate at least 24 volunteer hours to obtain Indiana Master Naturalist Certification and a pin.
